Fourth grade students will be traveling to different classrooms throughout the day. To help students be successful, the policies and rules are the same in each classroom.
Behavior:
The fourth grade team utilizes a check system. Each teacher on the team has a check chart with their homeroom students’ names listed and posted in the room. Students are expected to be prepared for class, be respectful to others, and show expected behaviors. Students will give themselves a check on the chart for unexpected and unacceptable behaviors. Any checks received throughout the day are erased at the end of the day and students start fresh each morning.
Homework:
As a fourth grade team, we feel homework is necessary to help our students reinforce skills taught and review subject matter. Each piece of homework will be worth up to 3 points.
Fourth grade is a lot of fun for students, but fun activities must be earned by individual students. Students who do not complete homework and/or are receiving behavior checks often will not participate in many of the fun things we have planned this year. To make it a successful and enjoyable year, we expect all students to put forth their best effort. Let's make it a great year!
